This body of work is an exploration of memory and connection: to objects, place, culture and history. I deconstruct materials and embrace the marks and scars that reference their former utilitarian or aesthetic purposes. By recompiling these fractured remnants, I reassign the collective bits and pieces to evoke connections with material memories and the unique personal histories they represent.
